What are dental implants?

If you’re missing one, two or even a whole arch of teeth, dental implants can truly transform your smile and boost your confidence.

The implant is a small titanium post which directly mimics a natural tooth root when inserted into your jaw. It fuses with the surrounding bone to create a secure foundation for a highly aesthetic dental crown fixed on top. We use innovative techniques and our expertise to ensure incredible, long-lasting results.

What does the treatment involve?

Step 1: Consultation

If you are interested in dental implants, we begin your treatment journey with a detailed consultation. We assess your teeth and gums to make sure you are suitable for treatment, and take innovative digital x-rays to ensure precision and accuracy.

Step 2: Planning

We create your treatment plan and go over the process with you, including timescales and costs. We also use our cutting-edge scans and images to plan the position of your implant for the best possible results. If you need a bone graft or other treatment before implants can be fitted, this is carried out.

Step 3: Implant placement

We insert the dental implant into your jaw, using local anaesthetic to ensure you remain comfortable during the surgical appointment. Your implant needs several months to heal and fuse to the surrounding bone, so we place a temporary tooth

Step 4: New smile

Once your implant has formed a solid foundation, it’s time to truly complete your smile. We design and create your beautifully aesthetic replacement tooth before fixing it into place on top of your implant. We love seeing how happy our patients are at the end of treatment!
